Toyota spacio remix

Once upon a time I purchased a vehicular toaster known as the Toyota bB or the Scion xB. I loved it! It had a tonne of room inside, a front bench seat and it looked odd, which is an important requirement for my taste in vehicles.

2 weeks into ownership I got crashed into, the bB was written off and I ended up with a Toyota Spacio. Now, I could say it was bad luck that led me to this situation but reality is the universe did me a favour. Let it be known that TOYOTA SPACIOS ARE A SUPERIOR VEHICLE.

But how? Simple really, Take Toyota’s reliable 4AFE powered AE111 model lineup, remove the boring body and throw a small commuter van body into the mix. Add lot of cupholders, endless storage and a digital dash that takes you right back to the 80’s despite the car being built in the late 90’s.

That colour is a factory paintjob!
Vehicle: Toyota Spacio Remix - AE111
SET UP: 1600cc 4AFE, 4 Speed Automatic
FUN FACTS: Some Spacio’s have 7 cup holders from the factory, including one under the right rear passenger seat.

Now, this isn’t your standard Spacio. In the late 90’s Toyota embarked on the Remix series. With slight variations to the stock models, Toyota created the Starlet Remix, Ipsum Remix and finally the Spacio Remix.

It’s safe to say the Spacio will always have a place in my heart. If you ever get the chance to occupy one yourself, I highly recommend it!

But what exactly does the Remix offer that a standard model doesn’t? Well you’ll have to watch the video to find out…..
