Suzuki FR50 CHopper

I’ve always been a fan of the Suzuki FR shape. Some would say it’s just a copy of Honda’s Super cub, and well….they’d be right. However as long time followers of Small Bike Stuff will know, I’ve always had a thing for the bikes that followed Honda’s lead.

It’s been a long time since I wrote about the history of Yamaha’s V Series, which is another Super Cub offshoot. But I’m yet to do any justice to the Suzuki equivalent. At least until now.

This Suzuki FR50 started life as a 50cc, 2 stroke, 3 speed semi auto. But thanks to the hard work of Zach, this machine is now a 125cc 4 stroke, with 4 manual gears. It looks cool, it rides well and I was lucky enough to film it before Zach sold it on to a lucky new owner.
